Toolkit

Subs fee calculator.

Type the prices your club charges and how many memberships you expect. The total is arithmetic, not a suggested price. It does not look up a governing body fee, and it does not know your county.

What you are adding up

Count memberships, not people. A family membership is one payment even when it covers more than one person. Leave a row blank if you do not use it. You can rename the idea in your own notes: the rows are only adult, underage and family so the sum is easy to read.

The online fee is worked out per membership, as one card payment each. If the club covers the fee, it comes out of the price. If the member pays it, they see it on top and the club receives the price you typed. The rate is the one on Pricing. A payment the treasurer records by hand has no online fee. Instalments would split a price into smaller payments, each with its own fee. This total is the full price, before any split. Memberships are on Features.

Questions

Does this set our subs?

No. It adds the numbers you type. subs.ie does not suggest a price for a sport or a county.

Which fee does it use?

The same card fee as the pricing page, when that fee is published. If the pricing page is not showing a rate, the calculator shows only the total of the prices you typed.

What if some people pay cash?

Leave them out of the online fee, or treat the total as the membership money and remember cash has no online fee. The calculator assumes each membership you count is one card payment.

Can a family be one price?

Yes. Put that price in the family row and count family memberships, not the number of people in the house. The club decides how many adults and children a family membership includes.
