Club treasurer handover.
After the AGM, the owner invites the new treasurer and then hands the club over. Membership and payment records stay with the club. The new owner updates the person Stripe has for payouts.
Who can do what
- Owner: everything, including payouts, roles and handing the club over.
- Treasurer: payments, refunds, payouts, exports and reminders.
- Club admin: members, memberships, exports and reminders. No refunds or bank details.
- View-only: names, age grades, the membership type and photo consent. Not payment details.
An owner can invite a treasurer or a club admin. A treasurer can invite a club admin. The email link lasts 7 days, and the person signs in with that email address to accept.
Invite, then hand the club over
Only the current owner can hand the club over, and only to someone who already has a role. Invite the new treasurer first. Once they have accepted, choose them and confirm the handover.
They become the owner. Any role they already had stays. The previous owner loses access to the club unless the new owner invites them back. The handover is recorded.
Payouts and the records
Memberships, payments and the member list stay with the club. Nothing in that history is deleted by the handover.
The new owner is asked to update the person representing the club in the payout dashboard, on the Get paid page, so payouts keep going to the club's bank account. They can mark that reminder done. Refunds, exports and payout details need a second sign-in step.

Questions
Who can hand the club over?
Only the current owner. The new owner must already have a role in the club, so invite them and wait until they accept.
What happens to the previous owner?
They lose access to the club unless the new owner invites them back. Memberships, payments and the member list are not deleted.
What should the new owner do first?
Update the person representing the club with Stripe, from the Get paid page, so payouts keep working, and then mark that reminder done.
Can more than one person help?
Yes. An owner can invite a treasurer or a club admin. A treasurer can invite a club admin. Each invitation link lasts 7 days.
