Guide

GAA club membership payments.

Set juvenile, adult, family and social memberships, with the age worked out from each date of birth. A parent can pay on a phone, and the club can download registration and insurance lists.

Memberships a club can set

A club names its own types: adult, juvenile, student, senior, family, social or other. Each type can have a minimum age, a maximum age, or both, checked on a date the club chooses.

A family membership is one price. You can limit how many adults and how many children it includes. An adult, for that count, is 18 or over on the date you set. On other memberships you can cap what a household pays, so a family is not charged more than the amount you choose.

Parents and children

A parent or guardian joins on behalf of a child and makes the declarations. The roster shows an age grade, such as U12 or Adult, from the date of birth.

Someone with a view-only role sees names, age grades, the membership type and photo consent. They do not see payment details.

Lists for registration and insurance

Exports are spreadsheets. subs.ie does not file a return with a county board or an insurer for you. You download the file when they ask.

  • Roster: everyone this season, with date of birth, age grade, guardian contact, membership and what has been paid.
  • Registration: names, dates of birth, gender, address and governing body numbers.
  • Insurance: counts by membership category and age band, with no names.
  • Finance ledger: payments, refunds and payments the treasurer recorded, with fees and payouts.

The same tools are on Features for any Irish club, not only GAA. The fee for an online payment is on Pricing.

Questions

Is subs.ie only for GAA clubs?

No. It is built with GAA clubs in mind, and the same memberships, payments and exports work for other Irish clubs.

Can we charge different prices by age?

Yes. Each membership type has its own price and its own age rule, checked on a date you set. A family can be one price, and a household can be capped so it is not charged more than an amount you choose.

What can we send to the county or an insurer?

A registration spreadsheet with names, dates of birth, gender, address and governing body numbers, and an insurance spreadsheet of counts by category and age band. You download them. subs.ie does not send them on for you.

Who pays for a child?

A parent or guardian joins for the child and can pay on that form. They can add more than one person in the same go.
