Guide
Instalments for club fees.
A membership can be split into monthly payments. Members see that choice once instalments are switched on for the club. Until then, you can still set the number of payments.
What you can set
On a membership, choose from 2 to 10 monthly payments. Every payment must be at least €5. If the amount does not split evenly, the spare cents go on the first payment. A price that would leave a payment under €5 cannot be split that many ways.
You can save that number before instalments are switched on. Members will not be offered them until they are. They can still pay in full online, or pay the club directly, when you allow those options.
Each due date
The saved card is charged on the due date. Where the club takes Direct Debit, a bank account can be used the same way. The member can replace the card or account for the payments still to come, and can pay a missed instalment.
They get an email 3 days before each instalment. If a card will expire before the next payment, they are asked for a new one 14 days ahead.
If a payment does not go through
subs.ie tries again 3, 7 and 14 days after the due date, and tells the club if it still has not gone through. The fee applies to each online payment, including each instalment. Cash, a bank transfer or a cheque recorded by the treasurer has no fee.
The rate is on Pricing. The other ways to take a payment are on Features.
