Guide

Camogie club membership payments.

Underage, adult and family rates for the camogie season, which runs through the spring and summer. The Camogie Association is still a separate body from the GAA, so this guide stands on its own.

The season

Camogie is played through the spring and summer, with underage and adult competitions. Many clubs collect membership before the championship. A club that shares a grounds with hurling or football can still keep camogie prices separate. Set the dates to the year you are collecting for.

On subs.ie you set the season dates and a due date. Email reminders count from that due date. They go out on the days you choose, never more than one every three days, and they stop once the member has paid.

Juvenile, adult and family rates

Underage, adult and family rates are the usual split, with a social membership if you want one for non-players. A parent or guardian joins for a child and can add everyone on the one form.

The club names each membership and sets the price. A type can have a minimum age, a maximum age, or both, checked on a date you choose. A family membership is one price. You can limit how many adults and how many children it includes. An adult, for that count, is 18 or over on that date. On other memberships you can cap what a household pays, so a family is not charged more than the amount you choose.

Members can pay the full amount by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. A treasurer can record cash, a bank transfer or a cheque, and those payments have no online fee. A membership can be split into 2 to 10 monthly payments of at least €5. Members only see instalments once that option is switched on for the club. The detail is in Instalments for club fees.

Registration and insurance

Players are registered with the Camogie Association. The association is still separate from the GAA and from the Ladies Gaelic Football Association. Hurling and football memberships are covered in the GAA guide, and ladies football in the ladies football guide. Any registration or insurance amount is a price the club types in. subs.ie does not look it up.

Underage, adult and family rates are the usual split. A social membership can cover non-players. Each membership has its own price and its own age rule, checked on a date you set. A family membership is one price. You can limit how many adults and children it includes, and you can cap what a household pays.

No. Registration with the Camogie Association stays with the club. A governing body number can be stored on the member and is included in the registration spreadsheet. You download the file. subs.ie does not send it.

What does a camogie club pay for an online payment?

One fee on each online payment, including VAT and the card fees. The club decides whether it covers that fee or the member sees it as its own line. Cash, a bank transfer or a cheque recorded by the treasurer has no online fee. The pricing page shows the rate.
