Guide
Rowing club membership payments.
Junior, senior and family rates for a club that trains all year. Head races are mostly in the winter and regattas run through the spring and summer. Rowing Ireland registration is a list you download.
The season
Clubs train all year. Head racing is concentrated in the winter, and the regatta season runs through the spring and summer. Membership is often for the year. A learn-to-row course can be a shorter membership with its own price.
On subs.ie you set the season dates and a due date. Email reminders count from that due date. They go out on the days you choose, never more than one every three days, and they stop once the member has paid.
Juvenile, adult and family rates
Junior, senior and family rates are the usual split. A masters rower and a learn-to-row beginner can be their own memberships, with age rules if you want them. You set every price.
The club names each membership and sets the price. A type can have a minimum age, a maximum age, or both, checked on a date you choose. A family membership is one price. You can limit how many adults and how many children it includes. An adult, for that count, is 18 or over on that date. On other memberships you can cap what a household pays, so a family is not charged more than the amount you choose.
Members can pay the full amount by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. A treasurer can record cash, a bank transfer or a cheque, and those payments have no online fee. A membership can be split into 2 to 10 monthly payments of at least €5. Members only see instalments once that option is switched on for the club. The detail is in Instalments for club fees.
Registration and insurance
Clubs register rowers with Rowing Ireland. Any registration or insurance amount the club passes on is a price you type in. subs.ie does not look up Rowing Ireland's fee and does not enter a crew in a regatta.

Questions
When do rowing clubs usually collect membership fees?
Most clubs collect an annual membership. Head races sit in the winter and regattas in the spring and summer. Learn-to-row can be a shorter membership with its own price.
Can adults and children be different prices?
Junior, senior and family rates are the usual split. Learn-to-row and masters can be separate memberships. Each membership has its own price and its own age rule, checked on a date you set. A family membership is one price. You can limit how many adults and children it includes, and you can cap what a household pays.
Does subs.ie register players with Rowing Ireland?
No. Registration with Rowing Ireland stays with the club. A governing body number can be stored on the member and is included in the registration spreadsheet. You download the file. subs.ie does not send it.
What does a rowing club pay for an online payment?
One fee on each online payment, including VAT and the card fees. The club decides whether it covers that fee or the member sees it as its own line. Cash, a bank transfer or a cheque recorded by the treasurer has no online fee. The pricing page shows the rate.
