Guide

Padel club membership payments.

Adult, junior and family memberships for a sport that is played all year on indoor courts. The club sets the price. This collects the membership, not a court booking.

The season

Padel is played all year indoors, and outdoors from spring to autumn. Clubs often take a membership for the year, or for a block of the season. Set the dates to match how you charge.

On subs.ie you set the season dates and a due date. Email reminders count from that due date. They go out on the days you choose, never more than one every three days, and they stop once the member has paid.

Juvenile, adult and family rates

Adult, junior and family rates are the usual ones. A social membership can cover people who play occasionally. Court time, if the club charges it, is not a subs.ie booking. Collect the membership here and keep bookings in whatever system you already use.

The club names each membership and sets the price. A type can have a minimum age, a maximum age, or both, checked on a date you choose. A family membership is one price. You can limit how many adults and how many children it includes. An adult, for that count, is 18 or over on that date. On other memberships you can cap what a household pays, so a family is not charged more than the amount you choose.

Members can pay the full amount by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. A treasurer can record cash, a bank transfer or a cheque, and those payments have no online fee. A membership can be split into 2 to 10 monthly payments of at least €5. Members only see instalments once that option is switched on for the club. The detail is in Instalments for club fees.

Registration and insurance

The national federation is the Padel Federation of Ireland. If the club records a player or coach number, store it as the governing body number and it is included in the registration spreadsheet. subs.ie does not look up a federation fee.

  • Roster: everyone this season, with date of birth, age grade, guardian contact, membership and what has been paid.
  • Registration: names, dates of birth, gender, address and governing body numbers.
  • Insurance: counts by membership category and age band, with no names.
  • Finance ledger: payments, refunds and payments the treasurer recorded, with fees and payouts.

Exports are spreadsheets. subs.ie does not file a return with the Padel Federation of Ireland. You download the file when you need it.

Memberships and exports are on Features. The fee for an online payment is on Pricing. Every sport is listed on the sports guides.

Questions

When do padel clubs usually collect membership fees?

Clubs often collect for a year, because indoor courts are used in every month. Outdoor play picks up from spring to autumn and can sit in the same membership.

Can adults and children be different prices?

Adult, junior and family rates are the usual split. A social membership can cover occasional players. Each membership has its own price and its own age rule, checked on a date you set. A family membership is one price. You can limit how many adults and children it includes, and you can cap what a household pays.

Does subs.ie register players with the Padel Federation of Ireland?

No. Registration with the Padel Federation of Ireland stays with the club. A governing body number can be stored on the member and is included in the registration spreadsheet. You download the file. subs.ie does not send it.

What does a padel club pay for an online payment?

One fee on each online payment, including VAT and the card fees. The club decides whether it covers that fee or the member sees it as its own line. Cash, a bank transfer or a cheque recorded by the treasurer has no online fee. The pricing page shows the rate.
