Boxing and martial arts club membership payments.
Juvenile and adult rates for a boxing club, or for a martial arts club that trains all year. Boxing Ireland looks after boxing registration. Each martial art uses its own association.
The season
Boxing clubs usually start in September and run through the championship season. Martial arts clubs often train all year, with gradings through the year. Set the season to match how the club charges.
On subs.ie you set the season dates and a due date. Email reminders count from that due date. They go out on the days you choose, never more than one every three days, and they stop once the member has paid.
Juvenile, adult and family rates
Juvenile and adult rates are the usual split, with a family rate if more than one person in a household trains. A beginner and a competing member can be two prices. You name them and set the prices.
The club names each membership and sets the price. A type can have a minimum age, a maximum age, or both, checked on a date you choose. A family membership is one price. You can limit how many adults and how many children it includes. An adult, for that count, is 18 or over on that date. On other memberships you can cap what a household pays, so a family is not charged more than the amount you choose.
Members can pay the full amount by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. A treasurer can record cash, a bank transfer or a cheque, and those payments have no online fee. A membership can be split into 2 to 10 monthly payments of at least €5. Members only see instalments once that option is switched on for the club. The detail is in Instalments for club fees.
Registration and insurance
A boxing club registers boxers with Boxing Ireland. A martial arts club registers with the body for that sport. The Irish Martial Arts Commission, the Irish Judo Association and Taekwondo Ireland are three of those bodies, and they are not interchangeable. Any registration or insurance amount is a price you type in. subs.ie does not look it up.
- Roster: everyone this season, with date of birth, age grade, guardian contact, membership and what has been paid.
- Registration: names, dates of birth, gender, address and governing body numbers.
- Insurance: counts by membership category and age band, with no names.
- Finance ledger: payments, refunds and payments the treasurer recorded, with fees and payouts.
Exports are spreadsheets. subs.ie does not file a return with Boxing Ireland or the association for that martial art. You download the file when you need it.

No. Boxing registration stays with Boxing Ireland. Martial arts registration stays with the association for that sport, such as the Irish Martial Arts Commission, the Irish Judo Association or Taekwondo Ireland. You can store a governing body number on the member. You download the spreadsheet. subs.ie does not send it.
What does a boxing or martial arts club pay for an online payment?
One fee on each online payment, including VAT and the card fees. The club decides whether it covers that fee or the member sees it as its own line. Cash, a bank transfer or a cheque recorded by the treasurer has no online fee. The pricing page shows the rate.
